Israel Proposes to Allow Hamas Leaders to Leave Gaza as Part of Ceasefire Agreement: Report

Israel under a new, broader ceasefire agreement has proposed that a senior Hamas leader can leave Gaza, news broadcaster CNN reported citing people familiar with the developments. This aspect of the ceasefire proposal appears to be going against what Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu aimed for when he ordered the launch of the retaliatory strikes and a ground siege of Gaza.Netanyahu promised to ensure that Hamas is not left with any means to launch attacks like it did on October 7 and is destroyed completely.
